Alchemy Restaurant Review

As one of the newest restaurants in Boracay, Restaurant Alchemy is much more than what you’d expect from the regular beach fare, grills and buffets you see along white beach. Found along the beach road in Station 2, it’s a great space to sit back and watch the sunset.

Quite unassuming, Alchemy’s all white interior accented by native chairs and driftwood benches really give a feel for the beach. At first glance my attention was drawn to a handwritten Blackboard at the far end of the restaurant that preaches Chef Josh Boutwood’s mission statement to all hungry patrons. His focus is on local and sustainable ingredients while educating on “umami”, the newly discovered and little known taste. After having worked in many fine restaurants in Spain and Sweden, Josh is happy to make his mark back home in Boracay.
