Mom Finds Frog in Frozen Green Beans
Attention Walmart shoppers! Look carefully the next time you pop open a bag of Great Value frozen veggies. A mom from Tyler, Texas was making a meal for her kids when she claims she found a frog in a bag of frozen green beans. She now has the giant discount retailer in the hot seat.
Chastity Erbaugh was microwaving the vegetables when she noticed something at the bottom of the bowl.
“That’s a frog!” she said, during an interview with KTRE’s Channel 9 . “Or worse than that, it’s part of a frog. 75 percent of it. They didn’t even give me the frog legs with it.”
That’s unfortunate, since the legs are the best part of the frog. (Snicker.)
Erbaugh complained to Walmart, and store officials eventually pulled all of the bags with the same lot number off the shelf. The complaint has been sent to the Food and Drug Administration for investigation.
This story sounds like so many others, where a consumer claims to have discovered a foreign object in their food, only to find after an investigation, that the report was a hoax. At this point, Walmart and government officials are still looking into the matter, and have not released their findings.
Meanwhile, Erbaugh says that from now on, it’s “fresh vegetables”for her.
