Great breakfast for a great holiday
Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year and President’s Day is the following Monday. If you’re lucky and have that day off, you’ll be able to sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast (or brunch, depending on what time you get up). To make your morning meal preparation easier, FriendsEat.com suggests the following recipes to help extend the romance of the Valentine’s Day weekend.
Eggs Benedict – A breakfast classic, this dish provides a tasty and easy-to-make alternative to the fragile, traditional Hollandaise sauce.
Baked French Toast – Whip up this casserole-style breakfast the night before and pop it in the oven to bake while you’re showering.
Banana, Raisin and Oatmeal Pancakes – Get your daily fill of fiber with these delicious pancakes. Serve with your favorite syrup or topping for a great morning treat.
Spanish Omelet – A FriendsEat.com fan favorite, this hearty and robust breakfast will give you energy for the rest of your day.
Croissant Egg Sandwiches – Buttery croissants, arugula and whipped cream cheese make these breakfast sandwiches tasty treats.
Of course, these great meal ideas should be enhanced with a hot cup of premium coffee or tea (whatever your preference) and a tall glass of orange juice, to round out the breakfast experience.
