The Empire Room’s Chocolate Kiss Valentine’s Cocktail

People often propose there, or find their true love. Kenneth McClure, the mixologist at The Empire Room (located at the Empire State), has crafted a special cocktail for Valentine’s day. He tells us the cocktail was “combined to create a colorful and delicious medley, The Empire Room’s Chocolate Kiss cocktail is the perfect blend of juices, fresh fruit, and chocolate vodka to enjoy on the most romantic day of the year.”

Try it out at home, or better yet, stop by the Empire Room with your sweetie and have them make one for you. The Chocolate Kiss is $14 on Thursday, February 14.

The Chocolate Kiss

1 1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch chocolate vodka
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz fresh orange juice
1/2 oz ginger liqueur
Splash of simple syrup
1 strawberry, trimmed and sliced in half

Directions: Muddle the strawberry with the lemon and orange juices. Then add ice and remaining ingredients, and shake well. Strain into martini glass.
Garnish: pinch of ground cinnamon
