What’s Cookin’ on Twitter – Soup Up!

Many Tweets these days are complaining about the cold.  And when there is cold, there is soup.  Here are the notable Tweets today which warms up the good in soup.

Ah, soup.  The dish seems so simple but it brings about a certain comfort, a source of simple pleasure as thepeenut shares:

Gym done. Interview Q’s done. Now tucking into a fresh bowl of mum’s carrot soup #listeningto Edith Piaf b4 heading to work #simplepleasures

Soup with Edith Piaf, after a round at the gym?  That’s like being in a movie!  But who cares, soup makes everything better.   amyannie69x raises a good point in her Tweet,

Worries go down better with soup than without. #teamfollowback

Of course, soup does not only make worries “go down”, it is also supposed to make the sickness go away.  Which is why sarahbrown1984‘s trip back home from work was not without a CARE package:

Been sent home. Been donated hot chocolate and cup a soup by colleagues and my boss ordered me a cab.

On one hand, with such goodness, there are some Tweets that put soup in a bad light, like comparing pea soup with fogs, and of course, the inevitable soup incident kamwin_kook has just experienced:

Soup has burned me. Life is unfair.

It’s only unfair when you don’t let the soup cool down a bit dear.

And you know what — speaking of fair, here’s some thoughts on soup equity as CraigScanlan Tweeted:

This tomato basil soup in a can is pretty good for tomato basil soup in a can http://bit.ly/9UxX1m

Well, nothing bad with soup in a can if it is still as good as it can get!

Warm up for the day, my lovelies.  The weekend is just a wink away.
