What’s Cookin’ on Twitter – Popcorn

Let’s face it: popcorn is comfort food.  It may taste bland when you take it off the stove, but the possibilities are endless.  You can shake it with powder and pour some liquid flavor on it.  You can eat it anytime, you can eat it anywhere, and for some some, a small portion of popcorn is good diet food.  As the year is about to end and movie blockbusters are flooding the cinemas, let’s grab a handful of this favorite snack in the dark and tweet about it!

The thing with popcorn is that it is a perfect communal food.  But popcorn preferences vary: some like it natural, some like it drowning in butter, some like it glazed with something sweet.  catastrophio has actually come up with a diplomatic means to address these differences: @billgoats @grahamlehr @adebradley Hmm. I prefer sweet, but in the interest of good popcorn relations, I also eat salted if needs be

But for some, salted is not enough, as BennyBoo shares: Chocolate covered popcorn = YUM! I’m so grateful for my youthful metabolism or I am pretty sure i’d be obese right now.

Okay, there are two things that can paint this popcorn green: chocolate popcorn and youthful metabolism. Is there a fountain for it?  TheFashionScene has a refrigerator in mind instead: my “new” refrigerator sounds like it’s popping popcorn. Well, we don’t want to complain if it is popping popcorn.  Bring it on!

Sometimes popcorn is enough, and by enough, I mean .. enough.  Look what janessapk tweeted: Home from Spints. Dinnertime. And by dinner, I mean popcorn. And by time, I mean Mad Men.

Now that’s a lovely dinner date!  TheNewDanger might be pushing the “danger”button as he is faced with a special kind of popcorn controversy: About to eat this popcorn chicken before bed. Tonight’s nightmare should be pretty epic…

But the epic taste of popcorn shall remain.  The current TV season might leave you cold for now, but the popcorn can make it more bearable.  Or you can watch a movie instead.
