Our Love Affair with Bacon

OK, so it’s not Kosher.   It’s still one of the yummiest food products around. Bacon is sinfully delicious and when combined with other ingredients, there is almost a certain home run in the taste department. But even if it’s not Kosher, there’s a suitable substitute that is also vegetarian, so everyone can enjoy the flavor of bacon.
There are dozens of bacon-flavored products on the market and hundreds of delicious recipes, albeit not always diet-friendly. But if you’re going to indulge in a meal that is slightly naughty, you can’t go wrong with something that is bacon-inspired.
Here is a sampling of some of the more unusual bacon-flavored products on the market now:

This one we're not so sure about
Uncle Oinker’s Bacon Mints – Packaged in a discrete tin, this is the perfect after-dinner mint that allows you to clear your palate while still retaining that bacon flavor.

It's pretty amazing, actually.
Mo’s Milk Chocolate Bacon Bar- The flavor of smoked Applewood bacon combines with rich milk chocolate to bring two of America’s favorite tastes in one delectable bite.

Can you believe it's Vegetarian?
Baconnaise – The ultimate bacon flavored spread for all your favorite sandwiches and salad dressings (believe it or not, it’s vegetarian) and it tastes just like bacon.

Wanna make your house smell bacony fresh?
Bacon Air Freshener – If you love the smell of cooking bacon, you’ll love these air freshener strips, which look and smell like the real deal.

Anyone will want to kiss you with bacon flavored lips
Bacon Lip Balm – This is a must-have product if the man (or woman) in your life is a bacon lover. Use this lip balm as an aphrodisiac.

Liquid Bacon Baby
Bacon Vodka – An honest-to-goodness premium vodka with a savory bacon taste. You can make a BLT Martini with this vodka, just add a little tomato juice and some lettuce for garnish.

The sweetness perfectly balances out the smokiness
Bacon Jam – Great on burgers and more, this condiment is made from the best bacon that has been rendered to produce a smooth puree.
