The actor, 50, made the demand when he tried to book an executive suite at the ten-room boutique, the Forza Mare hotel in Dobrun, Montenegro — a country bordering on the Adriatic Sea.
According to one source, Cruise insisted no one else could be around at the same time as him.
The outraged manager denied his request saying, “Who does Mr Cruise think he is? The hotel was full. It would have been unfair to other guests.”
The Sun claims the superstar was holidaying in the Adriatic to get over his divorce from Katie Holmes.
Cruise persuaded the restaurant at the five-star Forza Mare hotel in Montenegro to deliver a seafood banquet to feed him and his two bodyguards on his luxury yacht.
He eventually sailed away in his yacht Lady S next day, and later boarded a private jet out of the country.
Now Cruise, whose marriage to Katie Holmes fell apart earlier this year due to his obsession with Scientology, is thought to be reconsidering his association with the organization after 20 years.
Holmes is said to have filed for divorce over he fear that their daughter Suri may become too involved in the religion.
“Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages,” the Mirror quoted the source close to Cruise as saying.
“It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure, the source said.
The end of his second marriage to actress Nicole Kidman was also blamed on Scientology.
“He has lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realised they don’t work in marriage,” the source said.
