The 12th Annual Brooklyn Eats Event at Steiner Studios

2009 Brooklyn Eats
The FriendsEAT team has been invited to attend Brooklyn Eats which is happening tonight at Steiner Studios from 6pm – 8pm. Brooklyn has quickly become a mecca for foodies.
Over the past five years the Brooklyn restaurant scene has embraced local produce with gusto. Â Ethnic influences coming from all of Brooklyn have created a plethora of restaurants that represents most countries in the world. Â With over 1000 restaurants Brooklyn is the place that no gourmand, foodie or recreational eater can ignore.
The Brooklyn Eats event was created to celebrate the diversity of Brooklyn and to shed light on its amazing food culture. The event started in 1997 with only 20 participating restaurants and has grown to showcase 30 of Brooklyn’s notable restaurants including: A Bistro, Abigail cafe, Abigail Kirsch, Abu’s Homestyle Bakery, A.O.C Bistro, Aunt Suzie’s, Bussaco, Buttermilk Channel, Cafe on Clinton, Cake Man Raven, Downtown Atlantic, Fonda, Fresh Fanatic, Get Fresh Table and Market, La Stalla, Los Pollitos, Madiba, Magnolia Restaurant, Maria’s Mexican Bistro, Mazzat, NYC College of Technology’s Hospitality management, Oaxaca, Palo Santo, Pilar Cuban Eatery, Provence en Boite, Scottadito Osteria Toscana, Soul Spot, Soul Sister Quisine, The Sweet Tooth, Tangs Natural, Trattoria Mangia, Trois Pommes Patisserie and the Waterfront Ale House. Over 500 people are expected to attend.
The event will also feature wine, beer and refreshments from Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Roasting Company, Brouwerij Lane, Clover Club, Gotham City Lounge, Hena Coffee, Sizpoint Craft Ales, Southern Wines and Spirits and Michael Towne Wines.

Tickets are priced at $110 (for advance ticket sales – now closed) and $125 for tickets purchased at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Brooklyn Eats Scholarship Fund.
