Kelly Strum spent most of her childhood in Moran’s Restaurant & Catering being the daughter of its owner and general manager. She has started working when she was still 16 years old. Despite her family being very hands-on in managing their business, her true love and passion for animals gave her the courage to squeeze in working for Morrison Animal Inn and Chelsea Animal Hospital.
Kelly is currently Moran’s Assistant Manager, working behind the bar, which she has only begun doing a few years ago. Being the head mixologist, Kelly is the brain behind all the new and authentic cocktail flavors and mixes that Moran’s is pushing out in their amazing menu.
The ‘Apple Spiced Punch’ is the recipe that Kelly will be sharing with us today. Their patrons really love this drink because of its aroma. When they prepare a big patch for parties, they sell some of it at the bar.
Spiced Apple Punch
1 gallon of apple juice
1 gallon of apple cider
3 cups of white sugar
8 cinnamon sticks
1 bottle of grain alcohol
1. In a large pot, combine the apple juice, apple cider, cinnamon and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, and then let cool completely.
2. Once cool, pour in the grain alcohol.
3. Pour mixture into a large punch bowl.
4. Pour a few servings and garnish with apple slices.
