National Margarita Day Recipe
February 22nd is National Margarita day. I kinda like this holiday because lots of fabulous bars send me their best Margarita recipes. This year, my favorite was from Hakkasan.
Their Bird’s Eye Margarita (created for the holiday) is made with bird’s eye chili infused Ilegal Joven Mezcal, Pierre Ferrand dry curacao, lime juice, agave nectar and creole bitters.
So I say sneak out of the office & enjoy a Birds’s Eye margarita (or two) in their Ling Ling Lounge…but if you can’t make it to the restaurant…it’s ok, because we’ve got the recipe below:
Bird’s Eye Margarita
Bird’s eye chili infused Ilegal Joven Mezcal
Pierre Ferrand dry curacao
Lime juice
Pineapple juice
Amber agave nectar
Creole bitters
And if those don’t float your boat, how about Spice Market’s Ginger Margarita, or Haru’s Patron Green Tea Margarita.
Hakkasan is located at 311 West 43rd Street in New York’s Theater District just a few steps away from Port Authority.
And don’t worry…if you can’t make it there today…the cocktail is on their signature cocktail list and is offered year round.
