Duck Pond 2008 Pinot Noir
I did not expect much when I brought this bottle of pinot noir. I was gladly surprised when I took my first sip. The first thing I noticed about this Oregon wine (Williamette Valley) is that is is incredibly balanced. The wine smelled of cherries (as it should) and a bit of cola; lovely. There was also a bit smoke in the wine that was quite pleasant, fruit and a touch of earth.
With a plethora of sub par Pinot Noirs in the market, this bottle was a breath of fresh air. $20 – 88 Points
