What's This?

Where to Eat in NYC on 4th of July

So the economy got you down and you weren’t able to head to the Hamptons. You also could not bring yourself to hit up the Jersey Shore. You’re in Manhattan, you’re hot, you’re hungry, and you need somewhere to at least enjoy the day off.

Here’s a list of restaurants offering 4th of July deals to keep you feeling patriotic:

230 Fifth: (something tells me you can figure out the address).  This Nomad restaurant has the city’s largest high altitude outdoor space with an unobstructed view of the barges on the Hudson River from 14th to 47th Streets.  For reserved seating, bottle –service will be in store: you get a bottle ofChampagne for up to three people and a bottle of liquor for 4–6 people (starting at $199).

508 Gastrobrewery: (508 Greenwich Street) If you want something a bit less structured, this Hudson Square restaurant may be one of the best spots to catch a glimpse of the fireworks. The restaurant has unobstructed views of the Hudson River fireworks on display at 9pm. Oh, yeah…if you’re hungry, there will be plenty of food too.

The Boathouse: (Located in Central Park) What a great spot to enjoy the 4th! Besides, The Boathouse will be squeezing fresh Florida lemons all day to keep you refreshed with their “Lemonade Cocktail

Jeanne & Gaston: (212 West 14th Street) If you’re in the West Village and are looking for great food and music, head to Jeanne & Gaston between 6:30 and 10:30 PM. The Bordeaux Blues will be featuring some relaxing tunes for you to enjoy as you sip on some Cremant. Besides, once you see their garden, you’ll never want to leave.

Spina: (175 Avenue B). Alphabet City’s beloved fresh pasta house will be open from 11:30am to 8:30pm. There will be some scrumptious brunch specials AND, to add a little more sparkle to your day, $10 dollar bottles of Prosecco.

Tequileria Maya: (1191 1st Ave). Richard Sandoval’s Upper East Side Tequila heaven will be doing an all night happy hour from 5pm-midnight. They’ll have red and white margaritas (Red Watermelon Tajin Margaritas & White Traditional) for $6. Beer will be $4, tapas and tacos will be just $4.

Vai: (429 Amsterdam Ave). This Upper West Side restaurant has not only really tasty food, but also an incredibly attractive Chef, AND their signature Watermelon Lemonade ($8). It’s made of watermelon juice, lemon puree, and simple syrup. If you like a more “grownup” drink; then the Watermelon Cosmo may  be your thing ($12). It’s made by spiking the lemonade with Citrus vodka and Grey Goose (did I mention a rabbit sausage hot dog)?
