Top Ten Weird Potato Chip Flavors

Show me a man who doesn’t like potato chips and I’ll show you a man who has just lost half of his lifetime. I have yet to meet someone who has not yet tasted the crunchy and flavorful goodness of thinly sliced potatos, fried to perfection and fell in love. Lightly seasoned, these are the perfect snack, anytime of the day (in moderation of course).

When it comes to flavors, there are millions. I’ve tasted lots. All I can say is that each one is uniquely inspiring: cheese, bacon, chilli, barbecue. But, for many makers of potato chips, these flavors are simply not enough. To cater to the varying taste of people across countries, these entrepreneurs have introduced new flavors that may sound simply out of this world.

What exactly do I mean?

Walker’s Chilli and Chocolate flavored chips: Personally, I like chilli, I also enjoy chocolate, and I love potato chips. But, seriously, I don’t know what to say about this bag of chips. I could still taste the sweet hotness of the coated chips, and I just can’t describe what I felt as it lingered on my tongue.
Calbee Seaweed and Salt Potato Chips: I’m not Japanese, but it’s something I can’t afford to miss. I enjoyed the chips crunchiness, with the mild flavor of seaweed in it, lightly seasoned with salt. It sure was worth the price.
Chip Shots Margarita and Salt Potato Chips: It’s the chips with an attitude, for sure. Who would have thought of putting the taste of Margaritas in a potato chip? Guess that’s a good substitute for drinking. Hey, at least you’d be allowed to drive home.
Route 11 Chesapeake Crab Potato Chips: Crab flavored, huh? Well, it’s a taste that I’m sure no one could resist. After all, Chesapeake crabs are the best crabs around, so what’s there to lose if you put it on chips, right?
Tasto Tuna Salad Potato Chips: Whoa! Tuna salad is a bit of overkill for me already. I wonder what was going through those guys minds when they made that. What’s next, Caesar Salad flavor? Wait, I think they’re also planning on that, too.
O’Malley’s Country Mayo Ham: Home-style goodness is all I could say. Each bag packs the creamy taste of mayo, plus the sweet meatiness of ham. Yummy!
Hot Potatoes Spicy Bloody Mary Potato Chips: Okay, now this is weird. Does this refer to the drink or the horror story that comes with it? Either way, I’ll just pass the bag for a future date. I just don’t feel like trying something that’s got to do with red.
Tayto Sweet Chilli and Red Pepper Potato Chips: As if it’s not hot enough, the guys at Tayto are now selling their bag of wicked hotness. It’s got the flavor of sweet chilli, but it’s got that fiery heat from the peppers generously sprinkled inside.
Golden Wonder Sausage and Tomato Flavour Potato Chips: Sausage and tomatoes? I haven’t heard about that combination before, but it does sound good. Anyway, I’ll be looking forward to try it once I get the chance.
Herr’s Heinz Ketchup Flavored Potato Chips: Now this is what I call multi-purpose. I don’t need to grab the nearest ketchup to dip my potato chips with. It’s all in the bag already. It’s got the crunchiness of potato chips, and the flavor of the Heinz we all love.
