Low Carb Diet Myths and Misconceptions (Infographic)Get a grip on yourself becuase you’re gonna find out the truth about what you’ve been believing as the ‘truth’. Our infographic today is from lowcarbfoods.org discusses some common myths and misconceptions associated with low carb lifestyle.

A few of us believe that these diets bans the “consumption of carbs”. Low carbs doesn’t mean no carbs at all – it’s a big myth! It simply just limit the carbohydrates rather than ban at all, it doesn’t say – no carb diet.

Low carb diet also bans eating of fruits and vegetables! Don’t worry dieters its just a popular myth also. It just emphasizes that (and dieters are encouraged) to eat non-starchy vegetables and fruits such as sea vegetables, hearty greens, cranberries, and blackberries.

You can’t drink alcohol on a low carb diet! Oh no! But nahhhh. Myth again! Some alcohols have high amounts of added sugar, and the liver processes alcohol immediately to neutralize its effect. Thus, it is recommended to drink in moderation and avoid drinking on an empty stomach. So you can still gulp some of your favorite ale.

Dieters, always remember: The goal of these diets is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates consumed by the dieter so that it is easier for the body to handle and process them.
