Little Spoon Desserts
The streets of Los Angeles welcomes yet another food truck on wheels — meet Melissa Hanna and Laurel Tincher’s Little Spoon Dessert Truck. Backed by Road Stoves, a company that provides trucks equipped with griddles, refrigeration, water systems, fryers, permits and insurance, these twenty something-age entrepreneurs deliver freshly made baked goods from a variety of local vendors.
Melissa Hanna spent two years developing a business model for a dessert company that was based on partnering with local bakers and chocolatiers, and has contracted with several different caterers to produce a menu of brownies, cookies, layer cakes, eclairs, tiramisu, creme brulee, pumpkin brittle, macarons and cookie bark — layers of toffee and chocolate drizzled on top of cookies. Drinks include an assortment of high-end teas and vintage sodas.
Little Spoon will split its time between private catered events and public locations, and joins Kogi BBQ, and Baby’s Badass Burgers, among others, on the many miles of L.A.’s streets and freeways. Meet up on Twitter with Little Spoon here.
