How cool is this! A stand alone food processor/mixer that allows food to be cooked and processed simultaneously. The Kenwood Cooking Chef has a 1,500-watt mixer and a 1,100-watt induction burner. The temperature is variable from 20 degrees C to 140 degrees C, and attachments include a beater, power whisk, spiral dough hook, stirring tool, flexi beater, steamer basket, blender, and food processor attachment supplied with a knife blade and 3 stainless steel slicing and shredding discs.

The induction cooking feature as described on Kenwood’s website is extremely energy efficient because it only produces heat in the base of the bowl. The Induction cooking area only feels hot during and immediately after cooking because of the heat transferred back from the contents of the 6.7L fill capacity bowl. The outside of the bowl is made from stainless steel, and inside the base, aluminum is used to evenly conduct the heat.

Here is a video on it:

“Induction cooking is an advanced cooking method that employs the principles of electromagnetic induction. When the Cooking Chef bowl is locked into position the circuit is completed by a special layer of stainless steel in the bowl base. In turn this creates a large amount of thermal energy that passes through to the contents of the bowl, thus heating the food.”

Has anyone tried it yet?
