Making Snow Ice Cream
With many parts of the country experiencing record-breaking snowfalls and with more bad weather on the horizon, this might be a good time to put some of the snow to good use. How about making some snow ice cream?
Yes, that’s right ” snow ice cream. Making America’s favorite dessert out of freshly fallen snow is a treat that many may remember from childhood. (It ranks right up there with snow angels, building forts and having snowball fights.) These ice cream recipes are easy to prepare and taste good, too. (Even Paula Deen agrees.)
So if you have mounds of new snow outside your door, start gathering the troops and try one of these easy recipes. (Making snow ice cream is also a great way to keep bored kids occupied!)
Ingredients
1 – cup of half and half
1/2 – cup sugar
1 – teaspoon vanilla extract
dash of salt
5 – cups of fresh, clean snow
Directions
Combine all ingredients and enjoy!

1 – 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 – teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Place snow into a large bowl. Pour condensed milk over and add vanilla. Mix to combine. Serve immediately in bowls. (Feel free to use other flavorings, such as peppermint, lemon, almond, etc.)
