Recipe of the Day: Buffalo Wings
24 Chicken wings, tips cut off
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup tomato sauce
½ tsp. cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
¼ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp all spice
¼ tsp cinnamon
Vegetable oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Deep fry the chicken wings.
In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, cloves, all spice, cinnamon and the cayenne pepper or red chili flakes. Mix until the powders are dissolved and/or incorporated.
Transfer the sauce in a saucepan and heat over low heat. Add and melt the butter in the sauce.
Dip the chicken wings in the butter hot sauce. Serve with blue cheese.
