Guiness Giveaway is Out Of this World
Guinness Beer is celebrating its Semiquincentennial this year – 250 years of rich and tasty history. On September 24, the company will honor Arthur Guinness, the genius who signed the 9,000-year lease on the St. James’ Gate Brewery in 1759, and whose legacy gave the world Guinness Beer.
To celebrate this milestone in the history of a world-famous brand, the company has launched a contest offering fans the chance to win prizes that are once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
To commemorate the beginning of the Guinness brand, the company is sending one winner into space, another to the depths of the ocean, and a third to an exclusive Black Eyed Peas concert.
The grand prize, a trip into space aboard Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Spacecraft, will give one lucky person the chance to become one of the first non-professional astronauts. The winner will venture 68 into space, traveling at almost 2,500 miles per hour, experiencing weightlessness and spectacular views of the earth.
The second-prize winner and two select friends, will travel to the Lofoten Islands in Norway, where they will venture to the depths of the ocean in a special submarine, outfitted with the first ever Guinness deep sea bar at 70 meters below the surface.
And the final winner and two friends will be treated to a personal, live concert by the Black Eyed Peas at a secret recording studio, and have a private reception prior to commencing their upcoming world tour.
The competition is open to adults in 28 countries. Visit the Guinness Web site prior to September 24 to fill out an entry form and a chance to win one of these out-of-the-world prizes.
