Organic Potting At Home

Finding organic products has been a problem of many, but how important is organic anyway? Organic, in more simple terms, natural. It means that the products didn’t undergo any massive industrialization, chemical-based fertilizers or genetic modification to grow. While organic veggies are really a treat to the health buffs and foodies, it is most difficult to purchase one. That is why others would create their own garden of organic veggies at home, ensuring that the veggies are organic and eco-friendly.

But having your own garden is often a problem for the busy people of America, because not all homes have that space called front yard or backyard to grow these little greens. If you have this issue at home, why don’t you try breaking down a garden piece by piece, for example, having a pot of any organic treat that you can grow while living on a limited space. This allows you to naturally grow any veggies and avoid chemicals from invading your plants, and eventually your meals. Find a perfect place at your home to keep a good pot of organic veggies.

Organic Potting At HomeTo grow your own organic veggies all you need are a few gardening staples. Choose a good pot such as clay or recyclable container you have at home and make it as a plant pot. Next, visit the nearest gardening shops in your area and buy some organic soil and compost. From there, you can also buy the seeds of which you want to plant in pots. Ask for any specific guidelines when planting your veggies in pots. You should choose seeds that would fit your pot when your veggie grows. You can also buy from here any marbles or rocks that you need to have for your plant pots. Once you have all the things you need, you can go ahead and start layering the items inside the pot.

First, make sure that the pots have few small holes in it for water drainage. You can now layer in your rocks or marbles to enable proper drainage, ensuring that the soil won’t be drained along with the water. Next, mix one part of the compost soil to two parts organic soil and then layer at least an inch of the mixed soil unto the pot. Once you’ve done this, you can now plant your seeds unto the soil. Make sure that you don’t plant the seeds too deep or too shallow. Follow any instructions on the label or from the gardening shop. Do not pour water over your plant pot, instead, use a mini sprinkler or a spray bottle to hydrate your plant/s. This prevents the seeds and soil from being unstable and watery, keeping your plants safe and in place. Once your plants have grown and matured, and you can now harvest them and add them to your meals.

Organic planting is efficient, eco-friendly and affordable. This helps you save money from buying products, which, you can plant right at your own yard or in a pot. Gardens make a good attraction while providing  health benefits for you and your family.
