Food Network Gets into Video GamingThe Food Network is turning up the heat in the kitchen and getting into video gaming.  Teaming up with NAMCO BANDAI Games America,  a leading electronics developer and publisher, the two giants will introduce a new way to experience the world of cooking with the Cook or Be Cooked game for the popular Wii„¢ system.  According to early reports, the realistic cooking game will contain introductory lessons for the novice cook or for foodies fanatics who want to put their gastronomic skills to the test.  Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked is designed to provide players with the proper instructions and techniques to become a star chef no matter the experience level.

Utilizing the Wii motion control capabilities, the game will train players in the proper movements and techniques required to become an accomplished chef, such as slicing and dicing, mashing and every other movement required in a busy kitchen. Players will learn as they play through intriguing and delicious recipe challenges that range from bacon and eggs to lasagna, from family meals to dinner parties. Mini judges offer instruction and feedback on preparing increasingly complex recipes.

Cook or Be Cooked is the first of what is expected to be a series of games.  Look for it to hit store shelves by the end of the year .. just in time for Christmas.
