DETROIT - JANUARY 7: Chrysler Group President...

Where do Lasorda and Flay like to eat?

We’ll let you in on a secret, if you promise not to tell.  We’ve discovered the favorite food hangouts of some of the world’s most renowned celebrity foodies – chefs, cookbook authors, food critics and cooking show hosts.  Some of these hideaways are off the beaten path, others are well known and already have a loyal fan following.  Many don’t even have (or need) a Web presence.  One doesn’t even list a phone number!  However, what they all have in common is good food.

The complete list, along with mini reviews and menu suggestions, is available in the June 2009 issue of Budget Travel, on sale at newsstands now, where you’ll find the eateries arranged by geographic location.  However, we’ve done some rearranging and are presenting a partial list, by celebrity favorites.

So if you’re looking for a highly recommended place to eat the next time you’re traveling, consider some of these “secret” restaurants (which by this time, are probably not so secret anymore)!   And let us know what you think, by submitting a review to FriendsEat.com!
