New York is a melting pot city of different cultures and cuisines from around the world. An evidence of this is the city’s myriad of food selections ready at your disposal.

A Tribute to New York City Food ┠‘Empire Plates of Mine’
Be amazed with New York’s infinite array of food selections!

In New York, one day you’ll find yourself, “…eating Persian food on a Saturday night, eating Portuguese food on Sunday morning, eating Vietnamese food on Sunday night, eating Indian food on Monday afternoon, and eating Cuban food on Monday night.”

Those are actually a few lines from an interesting song we found on YouTube that we think you need to see!

Brian Hoffman of Eat This NY, together with the ladies of MVPleez, created “Empire Plate of Mine,” a parody of Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s “Empire State of Mind,” wherein they rap and sing about the vast food scene of New York City in a short 5-minute video.

“Who knew I had a future career in the music industry? I’ve finally dropped my first music video where I take a little inspiration from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys by proclaiming New York City as the greatest food city in the world. I teamed up with the lovely ladies from MVPleez for a musical culinary adventure around the city,” writes Brian on his Website, Eat This NY.

If you’re from New York, we’re sure you can relate to a few lines. If you’re unfortunately not (like me), don’t worry, you’re not the only one crying a bucket of tears out of envy.
