Not talking about this El Rey, but you'll feel just as powerful

What would you call a soup that made you feel stronger, more energetic and .. well…horny?

How about “Viagra?”

That’s what a small chain of Spanish-American restaurants in New York City calls its seafood stew, which is laden with fish, shrimp, lobster, crabs and clams .. and a half a shot of tequila.  The concoction, which costs a hefty $32 and is available by special order,  put the El Rey Restaurant group on the map, with an enthusiastic clientele lining up to sample a bowl ” no prescription needed.

The hot soup actually costs more than the little blue pills, but it does come with a side of fried  plantains (which the pills do not).  However, the jury is still out whether it fulfills the expectations of those who eat it.  According to Euclides (Junior) Genao, manager of El Rey Restaurant II in Brooklyn, the customers love it and leave satisfied.

Many of the fans swear by the Viagra soup, claiming it gives them more energy, more stamina.

Pfizer, the manufacturer of the little blue pill, has not commented on the Viagra soup.
