Dan Evins, Founder of Cracker Barrel dies at age 76
I don’t really eat at chain restaurants too often. But I will admit to sneaking into the Cracker Barrel once a year for their delicious biscuits and gravy. They are simply scrumptious.
The man responsible for this bite of sin, Dan Evins, passed away today in Lebanon, Tennessee where he opened the first Cracker Barrel in 1979. Cracker Barrel President & Chief Executive Officer Sandra B. Cochran said, “Cracker Barrel has remained true to Danny’s vision in many ways, including the insistence on quality products at a fair price, and on genuine Southern hospitality. How Danny thought about his guests and his business from the beginning is captured in ‘Pleasing People‘”.
Our staff would like to offer our condolences to his family.
