Online Cooking Fun
Cooking Academy 2 is a fun and creative way to expand your knowledge of a vast array of exotic recipes and dishes from around the world. The game consists of an immense collection of cooking-themed minigames that the developer claims will put you in the kitchens of restaurants from all corners of the globe. From Chinese BBQ Pork Buns, to Mexican Tamales, to Japanese Sushi, you make your way through 60 different recipes from eight different countries while learning lots of interesting trivia about food.
Cooking Academy 2 is a spin-off of it’s “Cooking Academy” predecessor; in the latest version you attend the Annual World Culinary Workshop as a beginning chef student. The student who scores the highest on the qualifying exams at the end of the workshop will receive 1 million dollars from the World Culinary Board to start their own restaurant.
After learning several recipes that are organized according to ethnic origin, you qualify for the cooking exams, where you complete several special recipe related tasks in order to advance. The great thing is you can practice recipes indefinitely and replay all the game levels. Dishes are gleaned from a variety of cuisine favorites like Italian, French, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Indian recipes; you prepare food like poppadoms, tandoori chicken, tiramisu, BBQ pork buns, green curry, and chicken pad Thai. All the recipes you become acquainted with in the game include background information on where dishes originate and are how they are traditionally served.
In addition to being exposed to world cuisine, there are amusing tasks involved in the minigames like baking, frying, flipping food in a pan, cracking eggs, juicing citrus fruits, and filling donuts with cream.

A Facebook Favorite
A few months ago we highlighted the virtual restaurant game “Restaurant City” which draws more than 10 million users a month on Facebook. Ten million virtual restaurants have been created and more than 200 billion virtual customers have been served. Restaurant City allows you run your very own restaurant and employ your friends to work for you as waiters and chefs.
The game’s basic strategy is to design your own restaurant, create a menu by buying and trading various ingredients, manage and optimize employee production, and satisfy diners with your menu. If you’re successful, you earn money and popularity allowing you to expand your operation.
