Claus Meyer is probably the most well known culinary figure in Nordic cuisine. Along with Rene Redzepi , he is the co-founder of Noma (2 Michelin Stars), and now also the owner of the brand-spankin’ new “Great Northern Food Hall”

Claus Meyer to open Nordic Food Hall in Grand Central Station
The founder of Noma (as in one of the best restaurants in the world) is bringing Nordic goodies to NYC

It’s located inside Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall and built with the city’s commuters (and food lovers) in mind. The location will focus on open faced sandwiches (smørrebrød), smoothies, and tons of delicious pastries all based on local products from the New York area.

I gotta tell you, after spending a week at Troy’s amazing Nordic themed BnB, I am so ready to check out this place!

Great Nothern Food is located at NYC’s Grand Central Station

Hours of Operation; Monday – Friday 6 AM – 10 PM & Saturday- Sunday 8 AM – 9 PM
