Why do Americans allow frog genes in tomatoes? Is this healthy? What about jellyfish genes in your milk? Sound tasty? This is the ethical conundrum politicians in Washington and shoppers everywhere are facing daily. Is it bad? Is it good? Does the good outweigh the bad?

The FDA has often looked the other way when dealing with corporate profits. While not anti-GMO, I am for research and regulated GMOs. The US government is looking desperate as Europe banned the use of Genetically Modified Organisms. In India, Monsanto was sued for violating India’s Biological Diversity Act of 2002 with the GM eggplant. The world’s food safety is threatened as GMOs continue and become widespread.
